Why PI??
1.       To understand the thought process.
2.       To judge the attitude
3.       To judge commitment

What area do they check??
There are 5 areas panellist usually takes into account
1.       Your past life
2.       Present
3.       Future
4.       Situation based question
5.       Behaviour skills.
In the rest of the text he discussed these points in detail.
..............................................................................................................
Introduce yourself
It is usually the 1st question that company asks.
So in order to answer this question you must have some point in the mind because your answer to this question will decide your further question.
1.       It must be sequenced
It means that you must talk about you in sequence like first you should talk about name, city, schooling, graduation, hobbies and then one special characteristic. In most of the time next question will be on the special characteristics. So it’s better to be prepared

2.       It must flow just like it is within you. He told us do a task
Take a A4 sheet and write your introduction on it and practice it thoroughly so that you must be fluent. It must take at least 1 min.

3.       In introduction part don’t include your strength and weakness.
.................................................................................................................
So after you are done with your introduction question will be on previously discussed 5 topics.

1.       past
It includes academics, work experience, strength, weakness, hobbies, family. In this section usually normal people go half prepared.

Acads
    Points to remember
1.       Reasonable working knowledge in all the subject you studies in your B.tech courses and deep knowledge about your favourite subject.
2.         Talk in bullets and examples because it will be lucid.
Extra curricular
You should give example of question asked in this portion with situation that you faced while     doing extracurricular activities.
1.       Example of any failure situation
2.       Example of leadership skills

Hobbies/Interest
The main difference is hobbies are those which you are thinking of 24/7 when you are free and Interest means activities to get relaxed.

And you must have knowledge about your hobbies.

Strength/ weakness
Normally asked questions are how you overcome those weaknesses.
For example you can start with something like this:  I do have 100 of weaknesses but right now I can think of one because I am currently working on it.

2. Present
You must be aware about what’s going in your surroundings. Previous part discussed about how much you know yourself and this part give emphasize on how aware are you about your surroundings.
You must have answer about why you are applying for the job.
So in order to do it you must have general knowledge. In order to increase your general knowledge newspaper is must. He told us to spend at least half hour on reading and I am not talking about Hollywood pageJ.
 3.  Future (goals)
There is difference between goals and dreams. Goals have to be SMART ( specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bounded).
Please be clear on your goals otherwise it will suck in the interview. Be definite that what you want to at that time and it must be visible that you have properly planned it.
4.  Situational based questions
Situational based question based on variety of ranges like what you will do to increase tourism    to your city.  These are question to test that how fast you can thought of answers.

5.  Behavioural skills
It tests the body language, eye contact, gestures.
1.       You should make eye contact with him
2.       Sit straight with straight spinal cord without crossing your legs(for boys).
3.       Dnt take your gestures(hand movement) beyond your body perimeter.
In order to practise it you should start today. Try to talk with person with eye contact whether with you friend or any new person. It will give you confidence.
................................................
Note:  there are some stress interviews also in which they will make you angry with some dumb question because they want to see your reaction in various circumstances.

Thank you and best of luck J
